network status - strange

any ideas what they are? or how to get rid of them?

there are no cables plugged in by the way. I've had 6 macs over past 5 years (from 9.2 to 10.4 os) but never seen anything li this

You can delete them by selecting network port configuration > delete. They may have been added by a third party firewall or proxy application. But they are easy to add and remove.

sure I can delete them, but I was just wondering how they got there, I know I didn't do it:). I only use wireless both at home and work. and why does it say cable is plugged in? that's what's bugging me.
