"Load More Messages" in Inbox

Keep getting an alert of a new Email. When checking my accounts, I have two, one shows the following in the Inbox:

Load More Messages...
1 message total, 1 unread

When I touch the message, nothing happens except for the small circle on the top section of the Iphone, which disappears immediately. Is there anyway to purge this message?

Found the errant Email in my Roadrunner Web Mail Inbox. Once I deleted that, the iphone no longer showed the previous message.
