Connecting MacBook Pro to TV or AV Receiver

Does anyone know if and how I can connect my MacBook Pro (OS X 6) to a TV (KDL-52XBR5) or a Denon AVR-4308ci Receiver so that I can watch streaming video with sound?

I use a DVI to HDMI cable for my tv and an optical cable from the audio out to my receiver.

Optical cable: mini-toslink to toslink

Video cable: either DVI to HDMI or mini-display port to HDMI depending on the connection of your MBP
