I recently bought a 22" widescreen to use with my MacBook (link below), but cannot for the life of me get the dang thing installed! I bought a mini-to-VGA adapter to use with it. All the cables connect properly, but when I try inserting the installation CD that came with my monitor, nothing happens. No auto-play, and when I open the CD my Mac can't read the file formats.

This is the monitor I bought:

I got it from Newegg, and some reviewers are using it with their MacBooks! What am I doing wrong???

Your Mac's Specs

You don't need to install anything on your Mac. The CD I'm sure, is Windows only - put it back in the box or with the owner's manual and forget it.

I figured it out! Just had to plug in the monitor, then go to System Prefs. It automatically detected the monitor :) Feeling stupid... haha. I spent so much time working on PC's before, I guess I figured it would just be more difficult than that. lol
