OS X license Info

I was just wondering how Apple handles their license for OS X. It seems to be a very different system than the Microsoft program of serial numbers and activation. I also can't seem to find any license information about my version of OS X on my computer. Could someone led me in the right direction to answer my query?

Thanks

Well what exactly do you want to do or what are you wondering about?

Well, recently one of my computers was stolen. Luckily it wasn't my main computer. It had OS X 10.3.4 on it and I was wondering if there was any type of built in tracking security in OS X and the license information to somehow track it. I didn't have any type of tracking security on it. But I did however have an Apple Care protection plan, unfortunately it doesn't cover theft :(.

That is likely a question for Apple

I'm guessing it's highly unlikely that it can be tracked at all. There's really no way to get it back that way even if they could track it.

The stolen laptop would be covered however under your homeowners or renters insurance policy. You can always file a claim that way!

what you can do is call apple...techserve and all other repair shops and give them the serial number for the computer and see if the the theif(hopefuilly)breaks the computer and see if he takes it a repair shop. maybe if they find, the computer you will be able to get it back
