Hyperactive Macbook!!

I'm wondering if its a lonely boat for me...

It seems that my fans and HDD are whirring almost all the time, even when i have only 3 apps open
Even when i just have the Finder!!

Is this bad?

Yeah, that's probably not good. Are you using it on a desk or on a flat surface? You might want to check out a program called MenuMeters. See what that tells you about your CPU usage and please tell us. I know my MacBook would get really hot, but that's because it was always at 90% CPU usage. Running at temperatures like that for about six months finally killed my hard drive.

Not Hot

THE Macbook isn't really hot, just a lot of fan noise

Mine always got warm before the fans would run. Do they start right when you start up, or does it take a little bit before they kick in?

I believe that FAH Core is exactly what killed mine. I will no longer be folding on my MacBook once I get it back from Apple.
