Your Mac's Specs
1.67ghz powerbook G4, 1GB RAM, 100GB HD.
So I just turned on my powerbook (G4, 1.67GHz) and it started up in the wrong resolution - just the black and greyscreen with the apple logo. Its never done this before, and corrected itself for the login screen.

Does this usually randomly happen ?

Many PPC chipped Macs start up in one resolution until it "finds" the correct setting. But it is odd that this is something that you just noticed... Time to zap the pram?

It usually starts up in the full widescreen resolution straight away.

I booted up again this morning and it loaded like it normally does. I dont really want to have to zap the pram because I have no idea what that is or how to do it :p
