Yet another problem...
Last night I installed Gimp and X (came with it) to be able to scan. I have a brand new MacBook Pro (OS X 10.5.2).
All seems to function correctly, it requests confirmation that it should use the Canon 4400F scanner and does a scan. When the scanning progression bar reaches 100% it just sits there = hangs, with the message "Transferring data from Scanner/Camera".
I've tried downloading the latest Mac OS X driver from Canon and Gimp (V = 2.4.5) must be the latest?
I'm used to using a very old Photoshop (V=5.5) under Windows but I can't afford a Mac version right now. In any case it would be a bit of an overkill as all I need is to scan and sometimes resize?
Any suggestions?
Thanks - Garoolgan
