Switching To Mac iPod Formatted For Windows?

Hiya my ipod formatt is currently windows what will happen when i plug my ipod into my new mac when i get it? Would i have to restore my ipod or what?

Macs work fine with Windows formatted iPods.

The only downside is that if there is an iPod update released you will only be able to update it on a PC if you keep the Windows format. Other than that, there should be no issues.

can i un windows formatt it by restoring it when plugged into my mac?

Sure can. That will convert it to Mac format. Make sure you back everything up as a Restore will wipe everything out.

The only thing I noticed was that syncing was slower when mine was initially FAT32 formatted.
