I have an unlocked iphone that has been working great for the last 2 months.

yesterday i decided to reinstall Mac OS on my computer because of problems i have been having. i transferred all the stuff from itunes to my ext. harddrive and i will put everything back into itunes.

my question is if my iphone will tell me that it is synced with a different library when i connect it to my computer?

and what should i do if it does say that?

thanks! :)

I'm assuming you mean a legally unlocked iPhone (other discussions tend to break the rules here).

If you copied all the files in your "home > library" folder as well as just your music, when you connect your iPhone, iTunes will ask whether you wish to set it up as a new phone or restore the files of an older phone that you have previously synced with the library.

If not, it'll probably be treated as a new phone.
