Ok I was wondering how do i put applications on my External Hard Drive. Cause I dont want to forget certain files that are part of the app. I was thinking should I put all the dmgs in the Hard Drive in a folder.

I take it you are looking to back up your computer so that you don't lose anything during the upgrade?

If so, the best way to do this would be to use a program like SuperDuper. This way, your entire computer is backed up, and should the worst happen or you choose to revert, you can recover your computer quickly and easily. It will also afford you the option of doing a clean install (highly recommended) and then later importing your applications, settings and data using the Migration Assistant with ease.
