Is a 2009 MBA with 2gb ram and a 128gb ssd powerful enough for running adobe CS6 comfortably?

The memory is going to be your limiting factor, and of course, since you can't upgrade like (like you can in just about every other notebook), there's little recourse.

I would personally skip that machine if running CS6 is your primary task.

I agree with cwa107 - 2GB is probably enough to run the OS plus a browser and a few other apps - but if you want to run Photoshop CS6 - you are going to need more memory.

To give you an idea - I am running 4GB in an MBA - I have ~1.7GB free and all I have is 8 tabs of Google Chrome, Pathfinder and Earthdesk running.

I fire up Photoshop and all by itself it is about 151MB - which isn't much. The problem is when you start editing photos and adding layers - it starts to chew memory really quickly.

Concur with above. My 11" MBA has the max for it's time of 4 GB and my 2012 13" has 8 GB. Those work fine but 2? Very doubtful and certainly very slow.
