Safari Won't Log Into MSN, gmail, etc...

Mellow Greetings!

I recently upgraded to Tiger (from my trusty ol' Jaguar), and am currently unable to sign into hotmail, gmail, Apple's discussion group, and a couple other places. Yahoo! used to be included on that list, but I find that if I go to mail using messenger, or if I log in using the standard form, I can still get in.

Prior to my changing to Tiger, I didn't have this problem. I'm afraid that if this keeps up, I'm going to lose my gmail and hotmail account. My Safari is ver. 2.0.3

I've tried researching how to get through this, but have not yet been able to find a solution.

So...help? Please?

Well for the time being, try using Camino or Firefox instead.

Try resetting Safrai: Go to the Safari menu, then select 'reset Safari'.

Thanks for the quick reply, Aptmunich, and yes, I've tried resetting Safari already, with no better results.

As for Firefox and Mozilla...well, to be honest, I've gotten really used to the way Safari handles, and I'd rather only switch as a last resort...

Well, there is always the tired and true permissions repair.

You may also want to trash the .plist and other preference files for Safari in the Library folder.

Thanks for the reply, D3v1L80Y. Tried repairing disk permissions, and I re-trashed the prefs for Safari. Still can't log into hotmail or gmail.

*sigh* Looks like I'm gonna hafta dL firefox after all...
