I downloaded a new TomTom map but when I try to install it goes through the right motions but doesn't show up on the TomTom disc. When I checked the Documents TomTom download folder it was there as a .cab file. It isn't in the device although it seems to transfer.
Is there a way of converting this so I can load the map?

A bit of a long shot this but have you contacted the TomTom customer support?

Yes - but past experience cautions me not to hold my breath waiting for an answer that helps

I take back all I said about TomTom Support. Someone gave me a Sydney number to ring and they quickly worked out that I was using an outdated version of TomTom Home. Having updated that the map loaded OK.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
