For years my family got used to IE and the MSN homepage. It has a bunch of stuff on there and they can point and click their way around - while not bothering me.
Now MSN is asking them to "upgrade" to IE8 - they use Firefox.
What is a good homepage that has a hodgepodge of stories and won't ask to upgrade to IE.

They can still use Firefox even if they upgrade to IE8. At least it will get rid of the pestering pop-up. Firefox can still be set for the default browser. HTH.

Not really. MSN checks the browser being used, if its not IE8 it prompts and redirects.

Yes, sometimes I get very different responses on the two forums.
I was going to ask on Apple's discussions but couldn't find the appropriate sub-forum.

Must one have a google account?
