Im just wondering how good the filevault feature is with OS X?
Does it have any disadvantages such as an impact on my macbook's battery life or slowing down the system?
Are there any third party alternatives to encrypting my whole Home directory or even the whole hard drive with a program such as truecrypt?
Im not interested in creating volumes within my hard drive to hide the sensitive data because i want to secure all the data within my home directory.
