windows install dead keyboard

Trying to install XP Professional on a MacPro using Boot Camp -- all standard stuff, new out of the box -- all prerequisites met. Install process starts and then when it reaches the 'set up' stage, the key board and mouse are dead and the installation can not be completed. I've seen other threads that talk about similar problems, but none recently and no real solutions. Any ideas on fixing this would be appreciated.

Hello,

Had the same problem but I tried to use Windows XP Pro without SP. I assumed that it have to be keyboard driver issue. Then I tried again with Windows XP Pro SP2 and everything works fine. Check if Your Windows has SP2 included.
