Youtube download

By trail and error I am trying to find out the best way to download video from youtube. Several posts on internet say this should be easy via Safari and "Activity" under "Window" menu, but this does not seem to work.

Is there anyone who knows what is the best way to do this?

Download a Safari extension called Click to Flash here. Now, when you go to a video on YouTube, right-click on the video itself and select "Download Video".

Savevid somehow does not seem to work on my mac, but the "Click to Flash" route works very well. Many thanks!

I use Firefox with the Easy YouTube Video Downloader extension.

Hey, speaking of Safari extensions, these annoying double underlined blue links in the forums that generate small popup windows .... does Ad Block get rid of them? If not, what does?

EDIT: Nevermind, I answered my own question. The answer is yes, Ad Block DOES get rid of them!
