HELP PLEASE! I am unable to connect via ethernet cable. Internet connect says "Ethernet Failed", but there is no problem with the cable since everyone else connects just fine. This has happened 3 times at 3 different locations in the past week, so there is definitely an internal problem with my Macbook Pro. Wireless works OK, but is not available in many places here (Borneo, Indonesia) and there is not an Apple Tech within 1000 miles.
Could this have to do with Network settings of some sort? Has anyone else experienced such problems? I always thought that ethernet connections were pretty much flawless....but not here.
