My mac book which is old bit still meets my needs has a hard drive of 120 gig however 60 gig is taken up by "other" files. What is the best solution for cleaning up the hard drive please

Replacing the hard drive is very easy, so it might be time to get a bigger one. They are not expensive these days.

Another suggestion is to delete all the unnecessary non-en and non-english .lproj language files with Monolingual and often save 4GB or more of HHD space. And add any non-Intel code as well for some more savings in its options.

Read the manual first and immunize any later MS Office 2008+ and recent Adobe software from being stripped. Otherwise their auto-updaters won't work.
