I had my 2TB drive for TimeMachine and its all backed up and now I am back at my apt and my router here has a USB slot so I figured I would set up the drive for wireless!

Plugged it in and I can't locate the drive.

Just need some instruction on how to get it up and running (hopefully from where I left off...if possible!)

When on your network the drive should show up in Finder.

Have you checked to make sure that your drive can be used as NAS?

Thats exactly what I thought...

I don't know how to check?

Its formatted for OS X, as I have already used it for TimeMachine, as stated.
Not sure how to get this working!

Is there a way I can check if it will work?

Do I need to enable certain file sharing settings? Set up my IP or something like that?

I have the Belkin n600 DB and read that it only does FAT formats, so I unplugged my external drive and used one of my FAT flash drives and it still won't appear in Finder!

Makes me wish I got a Time Capsule
