Issue when charging

So I wanted to know if anyone else is having this problem. When I dont have the USB cable connected to the computer and want to charge the iPhone using the plug in adaptor and cable the phone will not stop turning on and off and beeping non-stop every few seconds. I can see how this is going to be a MAJOR issue when Im on a business trip trying to charge it overnight in a hotel room. I tryed it with the phone turned off and it starts up as soon as I connect it AND if I turn it off while its plugged in it just turns right back on.

NE one else having this issue????
