Nope, the largest 7200RPM drive for notebooks is 320GB.

I would personally go with the Seagate simply because it has a longer warranty. The performance between the two should be near identical.

Aye what Kash said is true. I just bought the Seagate Momentus. I checked a few online retailers such as new egg and they were sold out. >_>"

I ended up buying it at OWC which was cheaper. Yay! ^-^

They just came out with the 500GB technology so it will take some time for it to get more speedy.

help

yeah, i am going to do this as well instead of selling my MBP i think... i will give ebay a shot but if it is going for less than $1450 then i will just keep it. anyway, so about putting in a new hard drive...
is there anything else i need to know as far as what comes with it? i am looking on ebay due to fiances and just want to make sure that items are coming with everything i need to install this...
so, any of you guys who have bought a new one... what all came with it besides the hard drive itself (case, wires, etc)
thanks
jared
