Epson R1800

Hi i had many problems to get my R1800 to work at all with my new Imac, after downloading gutenprint now it finally works :bone: but!!! and here it comes, all my images come out very dark and terrible.....what to do next?

i have used this printer on windows pc before and it was allways awesome, i use aperturs to rpint from just now.

any expert ideas? how to get my pictures as they actualy are?
