Installing OS 10.4 on a Power Mac G4

Hello,

I am trying to installing OS 10.4 (Tiger) on my Power Mac G4 Dual 1.25 Processor. I have 512mb of Ram and a 80 gig hard drive. I am currently running 10.3.9. It says "There were errors installing". Has anyone come across this? What can I do?

Performa 6116 2GBSCSI 8MB OS 7.5.3
Try using different RAM.

I recently had the same error message on a Mac Mini G4 and it turned out in my case to the the Hard Drive developed errors. New hard drive took care of it, but it could be RAM also or a dirty 10.4 install media or the DVD drive having issues.
