Got a strange one here guys, hope someone can help out.

We just got 2 x 30" Apple Cinema Displays for the office and each one is plugged into a G5 - Almost identical machines.

Now on my G5 it's working fine with a res of 2560 x 1600.

On the other one the max res showing in the display panel is 1280 x 800.

We have swapped Graphics cards and it's the same - Both are on the latest updates of Leopard 10.5.7.

Any ideas?

Are they both connected to their respective G5 machines identically? The new Apple Cinema Displays can be connected via the mini display port found on the newer MacBook and MBP machines - how are yours being connected?

Regards.

Thanks for the reply!

Yes identical, we are using the Normal DV plug with usb lead in. The new connection plugs into the power pack, as our G5's don't have them.

Best regards

OK, all fixed Thought i'd post the answer to help anyone else! - Had to clear the PRam as the settings were stuck on an older display.

All sorted :)
