• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

First of all thank you everyone in here ... I asked my first question a week ago and got great help ... you guys are better than anyone.

Long story short ... I was having all kinds of problems with my MAC so they had me install the operating system discs and do an archive reinstall ...

To cut to the chase ... FCE4 is now different ... No clouds in video generators ... no more membrane or any of that stufff ... No more Twirl filter and my project says to reload the desaturate thingy because the project cant find it and what also weird is there's a Boris folder out of nowhere with a 3d title thing in it.

I just want what I had back .... Do I re-install it? .... Why would the systems discs change my FCE4? ...

Thanks fellas

Your Mac's Specs
Late 2013 rMBP, i7, 750m gpu, OSX versions 10.9.3, 10.10
I can't find the reference article I had read once before, but I had read an article referring to some programs - including FCE/FCS could not work properly after an A&I and that it was best to reinstall them...
