Thanks John. For those who are still using a registered version of 1Password 3, the upgrade cost for version 4 is $19.99 for a single license. But even at $24.99 it's a real bargain.

This is a pretty good deal. Just out of curiosity has anyone used this and Password Genie? I got Password Genie recently and was wondering how the two compare.

Talking of password managers, does anyone have an opinion of Dashlane?
I have been using it for a while, and think it's very good. It did not work properly for me on an iPad air, but seems good for a Mac PC.

I played around with Dashlane for a bit and eventually removed it. I don't know if the Pro version of Dashlane is any better but I was not impressed with the free version at all.

Just out of interest chscag, what was it that put you off Dashlane.

Not sure I remember everything it did, or didn't do, but the one thing that annoyed me is that it tried to memorize my user name and password for my on line banking account after I told it not to. And even when my bank clearly put up a notice saying that it did not allow password managers to "save" that kind of info. There were also some other glitches which involved sites where you signed on initially and then had to sign in again to use certain things. Dashlane couldn't deal with that.
