Hi, I need some quick help here, I really need my MBP working by tomorrow morning as I'm having an exam! After a reboot my MBP shows a progress bar (as if doing a firmware update), but it never goes past one fifth before the screen blacks out! Starting up in windows works fine, but that does not give me access to all my files and applications. I would not mind doing a re-install of Mac OS if it was not for the fact that I have no recent backup of all my fotos, videos and music. The school-related files are luckily saved in dropbox.
Starting Mac OS in safe mode (shift during startup) does not work either as it does the progress bar - then black out anyways.
All advice in solving the problem or accessing my files would be greatly appreciated.
