Need help...applications keep crashing

Since upgrading to Lion OS, I am having trouble with applications crashing.
Example: Whenever I use Photoshop, after a few edits, while trying to save, suddenly photoshop will shut down completely. Also I have had problems with Firefox crashing from time to time.
Is anyone else having these problems? Anyone know a solution?

It seems as though the best advice with regard to solving Lion problems after an upgrade is to wipe the drive and re-install Lion clean. Seems to clear up many of the problems folks are having after an upgrade.
