iMac Find scanner?

I have plugged in my brand new plustek film scanner into my almost as new iMac but the computer does not appear to know the scanner's there. I could do this on my old Dell PC but I cannot see how to install new hardware on my lovely iMac. Help!

Well, Plustek aren't very helpful, simply stating that "No, Apple Macintosh is not supported"

I guess they dont like the 10- 15% of the US consumer market, and are happy not to have their custom.

But all may not be lost. Download VueScan and see if it will work with that scanner. Vuescan basically supports a whole range of scanners that are usually not supported.

You will have to pay beyond the demo, but at least you can test the demo out first.
