So i want to buy a mac mini, but i only want to spend around 900 dollars. I'm an average computer users so I wont be doing anything too crazy on it, but i like my computers to be fast. I was curious as to what everyone thought about my choices... I'm stuck between getting the 2.5GHz Mac mini with the 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 and a 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM upgrade or, a 2.3GHz Mac mini with the 2.3GHz quad core intel core i7 and a 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM upgrade. Can you guys tell me which one is better/would be for me?

Since you are going to do anything "too crazy", you simply aren't going to notice the difference between the i5 and the i7. In fact, 16 GB of RAM would be overkill also. I'd recommend sticking to 8 GB.
