Configuring Xserve for serving JSPs

My consultant has written and successfully tested a JSP running under Windows. However he doesn't have the skill to configure it to run under Tomcat Apache on an Xserve.

Currently when the web page submit button is pressed the web server doesn't activate the available JSP.

I've been researching for an effective answer to this problem for some time now. I've received links to Tomcat and Apache docs, generalized chatter about httpd.conf and links on installing mod_jk, plus a lot of silence, no response. My primary field is not in web management, I don't have the expertise to parse these documents for what's specifically relevant to the problem at hand. In fact, I don't yet have an appreciation on whether this problem is a simple or a complex one.

I'd appreciate recommendations on where to turn now.

Kind regards,
