2 Gen iPod charging question / issue

My wife owns both a 2 Gen iPod Model # MB531LL and a iHome charging / speaker station.

When the ipod is docked on the station, it displays a yellow triangle & states that chaging is not supported by (with) this device.

Is there any fix for this issue ?

Probably not. It (the iHome charging station) is apparently not designed to provide the proper amount of charging current for the iPod.
