MacBook Pro Screen Anomaly

I hope this is the place for discussion on this topic.

MacBook Pro A1226 with an internal screen that shows desktop and all artifacts but is layered
with many horizontal lines. Image using an external monitor is bright and free of any defects. I have
swapped the internal screen with a known good one from another A1226 (have several) with no change.
I have used the IO power board that includes the inverter connection from same known good A1226
and used it's HD but with no change. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you swap out the LVDS cable? Sounds like that might be the problem but can't be sure until you do.
