I've Google the issue and the solution that I found isn't an option. I'm trying to copy my contacts from my ipod air via iTunes. I purchased the iPad Air and I'm trying to move my contacts to the iPad. When the iPad is connected to MacPro and I open iTunes, the "info" tab isn't there to copy my contacts or calendar onto the iPad.

Is this something that IOS 7 disabled to force me to use iCloud?

I also noticed this "info" tab for itunes doesn't appear when I connect my iPod to iTunes. The "info" tab isn't in appearing in iTunes anymore.

Can someone tell me what's going on and is there a way to move my contacts and calendar to the iPad?

You would not be anywhere near the first upset individual with the removal of being able to sync your devices sitting right next to each other without the cloud.

For contacts
An option might be to export them as vcards and email them to yourself - open them on the iPad and import.

....
This is definitely an item that is causing me to seriously consider going back to 10.8.

Thanks for the info. i knew there was a catch to the free Mav upgrade.

I will consider all options since, I didn't want to put the contacts nor calender in iCloud because I'm always updating them and sync all the time.

I do use iCloud to sync contacts. However, I want to be able to do it within my own ecosystem. For only $20, may just go ahead and get OS X server.

Apple has jacked me and plenty other users with this "business decision." If I wanted to store my contacts online, I would have purchased a google tablet. Apple is trying to justify or boost iCloud usage.
