Anybody got a list of the startup keyboard combos? I am talking about the keys you can hold down while the Mac boots and it lets see the boot sequence, or lets you boot into OS9, etc, etc....

Any lists out there?

hold down the Option key on start up, and you can choose which OS to boot into. you can hold down command+S on start up to boot into single users mode, and you can see the sequence there. there are some others too, like you can hold down the C on startup to boot from a cd. theres probably alot of sites out there with all of them if you do a google search

Some that I remember (OSX):

- Apple T (target disk mode)
- Apple V (verbose mode)
- Apple S (simgle user)
- Apple C (cd boot)
- Option (startup disk manager)
- Option-Apple P R (zap PRAM)
- X (switches startup disk to OS X from 9)

- No command to boot into 9 from X

- N (network boot - looks for NetBoot server)

- Option Apple O F (open firmware)

One addition is Shift to boot without extensions. Still works in X.

On a newer Powerbook holding T brings the PB up so you can attach it to another Mac as a battery powered firewire drive.
