I guess ultimately this thread is dedicated to people who use Coconut Battery. Its a diagnostic tool used to determine battery capacity and things of that nature... It has the number of load cycles and age of your mac.

Load cylces, as far as I understand them, are basically the number of times your battery has been fully charged and discharged.

personally i feel that it is super buggy and totally unreliable. yet i use it on a daily basis

You dont need coconut battery to see the load cycles. It's al taken care of by the OS itself.

I personally use the System Profiler app in Utilities. Click the 'Power' section and look there.
Once there you'll see something like the following:

FWIW, I've got a PowerBook that's about 1.5 years old, and the cycle count is currently at 19.

wow you don't use it on battery that often.. I will do that on my powerbook and report back after I get it fixed on monday. Ive had mine for about 2 years, its probably over 200

Yeah, I think that's my Mac's way of telling me I should have purchased a desktop....
