No that is it for your G4. Leopard OS X.5 requires an 867MHz processor. There are ways to install it but with slow processor not worth the effort. Increase memory is about your best shot, or invest in a newer machine.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just need another machine to text family iphones, nothing else, so any help would be appreciated. Performance isn't an issue, long as it can text.

Whatever you get make sure it is at least an Intel model, and preferably a later model that will handle Mountain lion OS X.8. An early 2008 iMac could handle this.

I am leaning toward a new or close to new Mac Book Pro Retina with an i7. Something that will dual boot Winblows 7 and Mac OS X nicely.
