Hello guys and girls i need some help.....

I recently upgraded my iphone on my contract from an iphone 3gs to a 5 and now come to the decision of selling it on. Iv heard that once unlocked they sell for a higher value so i contacted orange (my provider) as i heard for either free or a small fee they can do it for you. So after eventually getting through to them i was then told it would cost £20 and they would send a code on. I find this a complete joke as i have been a customer for 2 years and have paid £35 a month for 2 years and now on an even higher tariff and the resale value of them is around £100 max.

Not sure about the whole 'jailbraking' but i presume this is the same thing?

I have searched on here but couldnt find much info for a novice that i am. Any information either on the thread or pm would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards, Vinnie

Carrier unlocking and "jailbreaking" (and then unlocking) is not the same thing. Pay the £20.
