Moving from Blackberry to Iphone 4S

Hi all, I hope this is the correct section to ask my question. If not please advise and I'll ask for it to be moved.

I'm about to move from a Blackberry Curve 9300 to an iphone 4S (not a iphone 5 - too expensive for me!). I have never even used an iphone previously
I have synced my phone contacts with my MBPr so am happy that I can transfer those ok to the new phone.
I am wondering if I can do the same with text messages currently held on my Blackberry.

Any advice would be most welcome.

I don't know of a way to copy the messages from the BB to the iPhone. Maybe search the app market for a way to export them as a PDF file.
