I'm working with a 13" MBP 2.53 GHZ running 10.5.8 with all of the updates run. It worked great until last week it suddenly stopped recognizing most of the Ethernet ports around the office. I've tested these same ports with other computers and they work fine. I've swapped out the ethernet cables but it didn't make a difference. When I plug it directly into the ProCurve router it works fine and when I took it to the apple store it worked no problem. Of course.
I ran things like repair permissions and zapped p-ram with no luck. This morning I even did a full erase and re-installed the operating system. Still no luck. Any suggestions? Take it back to apple and see if they will just replace the ethernet port? Thanks for any help you can offer.
