OK, So I have an iMac and when I go to about this mac it says:

Processor: 3.06ghz Intel Core i3

And when I go to activity monitor, under CPU it has 4 bars (under CPU usage at the bottom). Does this mean I have 4 cores? I thought the i3 processors were only dual core…

I know, this is such a silly question…lol :(

You're right...all "i3" iMacs are dual-core. The 4 bars you're seeing are probably due to hyper-threading. Which means 2 virtual cores per cpu...so 2 x 2 = 4.
