Hi, lost my power adapter for my Mac Mini, then bought a new one, but it says on the box for PowerPC Mac Mini, and mines is intel.

Guys at shop said it would be fine, but I don't wanna fry the thing.

Any help.

Thanks, and I am now using the Mac.

Only problem is, there is a lot of fan noise, and I've been told the mini doesn't even have a fan, I wonder if this has something to do with the adapter.

No startup sound either, another thing that has changed since the adapter.

How do I sort that out?

I know this now, but the guys at the shop told me not to worry when I asked, dunno why they couldn't have just swapped it for the right one...so angry.

The Mini does have a fan, so noise is normal.

Not sure about the chime though, did it stop right as soon as you used the PPC adaptor?

Yeah, sorry about that.

I really did search before I tried the mac though for a solution.

Should be getting the right one today.
