How do you delete a symbol from the top menu bar? It is one of the symbols such as: charge percentage, time machine, or the volume sign. The Adobe symbol has just been getting on my nerves and I would love to get rid of it. This is on Os X Lion btw. Thank you all!

Hold down the command key and drag it off.

I just tried that and it didn't work. This is the bar at the top of the screen just for clarification.

It didn't work with this specific symbol. I tried it with a few others and that worked.

Next is going to be opening up Adobe preferences and find the place you need to uncheck.

Stating which specific app this is may help someone that has that app tell you where it is if you can't find it.

Thanks! I just opened it, updated, and then unchecked that I didn't want it on the bar!
