track count out of a mac mini with ram maxed and ext hardrive

I would like to do some processing on my tracks so i'd probably want to grab the 2.0 ghz compared to the 1.83 ghz. With upgrading the ram to 2gs and buying one of these http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/ministackv3 what do you think a general track count for me would be. I am also not sure how powerful I should buy with the mini stack, some people are saying the hard drive is the most important to track count I would suppose I should get the best one I can. Also what is the difference between the cache being 8mb and 16mb and 32mb?
