steps to sync a replacement iPhone 4

Good day all

I will be receiving a replacement iPhone 4 (faulty home button) next week and would like to know what the correct steps are to sync the replacement phone so it will be exactly the same as my current one.

Just want to make sure all the important things stored on the phone will be synced like general settings, text message history, notes, safari cookies, etc..

1. Back up your current iPhone in iTunes.
2. Restore from that backup onto new iPhone.
