I have the newest airport extreme and a SSD hard drive connected to it so I can watch movies I have stored on it and access files and music. Sometimes when I play a movie or tv show that is on the hard drive, quicktime will give me the spinning wheel and I will disconnect from the network altogether. Then I have to unplug the AE and plug it back in. Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it? I've spoken to Apple and they can't help.

Do you have the wireless channel settings set to auto? If so, try setting them to a fixed channel.

Try channel 1 6 or 11. If you need to choose a 5Ghz Channel just take your pick it won't matter too much.
