Hey guys. I have a problem. I searched on the forums but found nothing. I received 2 dvds from my cousins wedding. The problem is that the dvds are loaded with .BUP, .IFO, .VOB, and .VOB and they don't play on my mac or dvd players.
I can't play these on my mac. I'm not sure what program there are out to play these files. A regular dvd player can't play them. I would like to know of a file/dvd converter that would convert these files to another dvd so that I can play them on a regular dvd player and on my mac. I would REALLY appreciate ANY help with this. A free program would be preferred:D

sounds like standard DVD files - should play on a standard DVD player - some players just have issues with and will not play burned DVD's

Try downloading VLC and see if it will play the disk.

The files are DVD-Video authored files, a "regular DVD", but it may not be burned to proper UDF specs. You'd need to take the files, the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder, and re-burn to a DVD in UDF mode.

See if VLC will play the DVD (not the files, load it as a DVD), as the computer doesn't care about the ISO vs UDF mode burn -- only the standalone DVD player will.
