Sound does not turn off right away...

Your Mac's Specs
2.2GHZ Macbook Pro - 4GB RAM - 500GB HD
When my wife pushes the button on her macbook, her sound does not turn off immediately. Mine on the other hand does. Does anyone else have this issue?

I couldn't find anything like this in the search.
